Introduction : Revised Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery

The Revised Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery programme is of two years duration leading to a diploma as Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife. The R.A.N.M. Programme intends to prepare skilled female health worker to work in both urban and rural communities to improve the health system and health status of India.

Purpose

The purpose of the RANM/FHW course is to prepare an RANM to function at community level / village with specific skills to fulfill the health needs of the community. She will be an active link between the community and health care system.

Duration & Intake

Duration : Two (2) years full time.
Intake : 20 students per annul.

Eligibility

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
The minimum educational requirements shall be 10+2 in Arts/ Commerce / Science, Health care Science Vocational stream ONLY passing out from recognized Board, or conducted by National Institute or Open School.
Students shall be medically fit.
Schooling (10+2 years course) recognized by CBSE/ICSE/SSSCE/HSCE.
Student shall be admitted once in a year. Duration of the course – 2 years (24 Months) Exams Annually.
